This helps determine whether your pet is in distress or stable.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Treatment Area<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">: If your pet shows signs of being in <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">serious condition<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, they will be taken directly to the treatment area to be assessed and have vitals taken.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Room Setup<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">: If your pet is<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> stable<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, you and your pet will be escorted to an exam room where a nurse will check your pet\u2019s vitals. To help prevent the spread of infection, staff caring for your pet will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, gowns, shoe covers, and masks (in case of some respiratory pathogens). If the nurse discovers your pet\u2019s vitals are unstable, your pet will be taken back to the treatment floor. If your pet\u2019s vitals are stable, your pet will remain in the room with you until a veterinarian can perform a physical exam.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Examination and Diagnostics<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">: After the exam and necessary diagnostics, your pet may need to be hospitalized for further treatment. When hospitalized, pets with infectious disease concerns are placed in an isolation ward or a miniature isolation setup within our ICU. These measures help to separate other patients from the potential spread of an infectious disease.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Isolation Protocols<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">: Pets needing isolation still receive high-quality care and observation from our nursing staff. Know that owners are allowed to still visit during the hospitalization.
